On the road again
February 9 to 25, 2007

Several tableaux featuring the greatest songs having made their mark on country music since the 40s. Inspired by shows created in the purest of country music traditions, On the Road Again features two of Québec's most renowned performers: yodler Guylaine Tanguay and Bourbon Gautier. They will be joined on stage by other seasoned performers, including JC Harrisson, and his memorable personification of Hank Williams, and Carol Ann King, daughter of the legendary Mary King. In the Montréal version of the show, a special guest, singer Claude Valade, will sing several of her greatest country hits. Four dancers, under Artistic Directors Nancy Loof and Claudine Olivier, and five musicians will share the stage with the singers.

Charles Aznavour and Gilbert Bécaud are two writer-composer-interpreters who have marked French-language song with their seals. Over the years, they have multiplied their number of hits as well as their number of fans. One only needs to think of Je t’appartiens, Les plaisirs démodés, Les cerisiers sont blancs, Emmenez-moi, La bohème, Le petit oiseau de toutes les couleurs, Hier encore, Désormais, Et maintenant, L'Important c'est la rose, Je reviens te chercher, For me, Formidable… songs which have become timeless, true classics. Manuel Tadros and Guy Porlier, two exceptionally talented singers, will be interpreting the great classics of these two great ambassadors of French-language song.
